Interesting concept. It remains to be seen whether the construction of this pepper mill holds up over time. I bought two as I'm planning to convert one into a salt dispenser. I gave it three stars for appearance, but the jury's still out on performance until some time has passed. I will post again in about 3-6 months to let you know how they're doing...

This is an excellent product and works as expected. We received one as a gift over two years ago and it worked so well that we wanted a second one to make a salt-&-pepper set. The only real comment I would make is that I wish the plastic top was offered in white as well as black. Then the "Salt" and "Pepper" could have matching colors. With the contents visible through the top half this is only a mild "wish" rather than a serious zing. Battery life has been outstanding, with better than two years on the original batteries.

Works exactly as described. You tip it over and it grinds the pepper. Stand it back up it stops. Perfect sized grind. Easy to refill. Best of all it doesn't leave a dusting of pepper on the table because when you stand it back up the grinding head is towards the ceiling not resting head-down on the table. Had it for almost 5 months. Use it every day. Batteries are still going strong.
